First picture with "Santa"!
We were out and about braving the crowds at the mall yesterday and saw absolutely no line for Santa. (Probably because the cost for mall Santa pictures was $25!) We decided to see if Eliza would sit with him and get some pictures. She was very good, I was impressed. She thought she was pretty darn cool sitting up on Santa's lap. Here are some pictures that I took.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Today we celebrated Thanksgiving at Eliza's Grampy and Grammy's house. Within four minutes of arriving, Eliza fell face first onto the cement tile and gave herself a fat, bloody lip. She was tough though, and managed to have an excellent time at Thanksgiving. She ate plenty of mashed potates and stuffing, and then tolerated a few pieces of turkey. She really enjoys her carbs. Here are some pictures from the day.

Thanksgiving Parade
This morning we took Eliza to the Plymouth Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was a really cold day this morning so we had to bundle her up in many layers. She missed her morning nap and the parade started late, but overall we think she enjoyed seeing the bands and the horses, etc. We had to go, we're from American's hometown, after all!

Being Cute
Eliza is going through an adorable new phase where she will play with me and then start crawling really fast or toddling over to me saying "Mommy, mommy, mommy!". Then she goes in for a big hug or lies her head on my lap. It's too cute. I don't know how long it will last but I love it. Here are a few pictures from her playing around today after work.

Down???
Her new word is "down?" and she is constantly saying this. She is so quick to ask "down?" when she is getting her diaper changed or is in her stroller or carseat. When she wakes up from her nap I hear her in her crib yelling "down?". She is also repeating us like crazy. Everything that comes out of our mouths is repeated right back to us so we need to start watching our language in front of her these days.
Eliza Reading/Destroying Her Favorite Book

Eliza's favorite book is called "Peek A Moo". She loves this book so much that she cries when we have to put it away. We really have to hide the book or she will take it and just go crazy over it, which is so cute. She shrieks when she sees it. Well, today she destroyed it. I knew the day was coming. She gets out of control w/ any "lift the flap" books and can't help herself from ripping the flaps off. Today though, she ripped out the entire inside of this hardcover book. Oh well, she had a blast. The book was short lived, but worth it for her.
